Natural fibre dying is a remarkably easy and rewarding way to provide colour to a natural fibre. The process brings to life seasonality, plant identification and how different molecules can bond when given the correct conditions. This kit comes complete with full colour instructions, a foraging guide with seasonal reference, Alum & Cream of Tartar (the powder used for mordanting) and nitrile gloves. Also included is a bonus knitting pattern - the Multi-Colour Millipede - perfect for using up all the short colour samples you're sure to have! Once you start experimenting you can't stop.

Note - The wool is simmered in hot water separately to the chosen natural materials so you will also need a pot, or two and a heat source. Supervision is required for young-uns as you are working with hot water and potentially plants that are not edible.
